The R&D Lab Manager will manage the efficient operation of the technology and innovation laboratory providing timely and accurate physical, chemical and structural characterization of materials and products. Other duties include:
- Lead team members to conduct testing in a safe, timely and efficient manner, while maintaining equipment and instrumentation quality.
- Direct, develop and lead team members in performance of their work.
- Conduct testing regimens and interpret results from a wide variety of protocols. This includes molecular spectroscopy, microscopy, chromatography, permeation and related methodologies.
- Support R&D trials through evaluation of new raw materials and product structures.
- Document, interpret and report conclusions and results with accuracy.
Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills: active listening, negotiation, and conflict resolution.

- Ability to quickly assimilate new procedures and industry advances.
